Waimea Falls is located in Waimea Falls Park on the North Shore of Oahu. Hawaiian mythology has it that Waimea Valley was the home of demigod Kamapua'a, who slipped and fell from the ridge above, creating the falls. Ancient Hawaiians believed the waters of Waimea had healing powers.
